I love Oriental fabrics and I had an opportunity to use them in this class.

A Christmas Quilt Top

I did the initial centre block and than the next person put it on point. Each person in the round robin did a row. I had hoped to get it quilted for this Christmas but maybe for Ukranian Christmas.

A gifted bag...

A friend of mine, F., made this purse using the Chenille technique. She decided that she didn't like the purse and I did, so I inherited it.

Mail Fun

Yesterday, I opened our mailslot to find out that the book I'd won from Karen's giveaway had arrived. I had a lot of fun looking through Applique Outside The Lines by Becky Goldsmith and Linda jenkins. Thank you very much Karen. My husband, Bruce was trying to figure out who I knew in Norway, grin. This was my first blogging win and hopefully not the last. In the New Year, I will have one of my own.

Relative of 90 - Olypic torchbearer-Frank Wilson

I am so very proud of my Uncle Frank. He has always been involved in community functions and so Pilot Mound Legion chose him as their Olympic torch bearer representative. And this is after he had heart surgery this summer and was told to put his affairs in order. We didn't know that he was going to be on the news and I couldn't figure out why Bruce wanted me to get to the tv so quickly. Uncle Frank was doing his practice walks with my cousin Doug going with him. He carries the torch on Jan. 7th, Winkler, Manitoba. I am really hoping that my dad, who will be 90on Jan. 11th, and is mostly in a wheelchair will go. If the roads are at all good, I will be there, crying and screaming Uncle Frank's name. When I was a little girl, he used to run around the town. Now, at 90 he is a walking tribute.

Day of Meditation

It did not quite turn out to be quite what I had hoped for. It was so cold in the room that I had my winter jacket on most of the day. I wished that I had brought a quilt. I kept thinking that I could be home quilting. Oh well, I am looking forward to working on my Nativity scene after supper. I sure am glad for quilter friends cuz they inspire me to get things done. Wed. night at our Crescentwood group, I worked on it and who knows this year might see it completed.

Blog Visiting

I find it so interesting to visit other people's blogs. I hopped over to K's today and there was a button about a giveaway. Well, my curiosity was piqued so over I went to that. It's LeKaQuiltgiveawaycontest. I had fun entering even if I don't win and found another blog to follow.
